"I couldn't have asked for a better piano teacher for my kids. David is not only a skilled teacher, but a true artist. He is very knowledgable about the technical side of music, and teaches this very well; in addition, he encourages creative expression and even walks beside my children as they explore and grow in that aspect of music. This combination of technical skill and artistic talent is not common, and a person who has the ability to teach all of this to others in addition to possessing these skills is even more rare. David has been that treasure to our family!"
"I have recommended David to friends who are seeking a guitar instructor for their children. His personalized lessons and music genre are based on each student's ability and desire. Not only is David an extremely talented musician, but a very caring and compassionate person."
"David is an engaging, encouraging and patient teacher. I am his first ukulele student, and he has worked very hard to come up with songs and theory lessons to set a good foundation for me as a first-time stringed instrument player. I have a goal to play and sing in public, and he's actively getting me to that point! If you want personalized instruction and want to learn new things with each lesson, you can't do better than David."

"Ariel was fortunate enough to get in for guitar lessons with David a year ago. She has come so far in that year. David is so patient with her. He encourages her to think beyond her comfort zone and right now, they are working on composing her own song. The lessons also carry over to her flute skills, which she uses at school. "
"I have been playing guitar for about 20 years, most of which was the same old songs because I hit a wall with self teaching. When I started taking lessons from David, I began learning theory about the guitar that I assumed existed but could never figure out on my own. David has the ability to take a student from any point of progress and move them in any direction the student wants to go. If you want to learn a song, pick it out and he will teach you. If you want to learn theory, you can go as far as you want to go. Plus, with David's encouragement, I was able to get on a stage in front of a group, something I always wanted to do, but never had the courage."
"David has been teaching my 6 year old son guitar for about 9 months now. He is so patient with Aiden, and he is an excellent teacher. I chose David as Aiden's teacher because he is such a talented musician. I love to hear him play.."
"David teaches me mandolin lessons. I started out knowing nothing about the mandolin much less music. He has been teaching me about 4 months. He has taught me so much about the instrument itself and the playing of it. More than anything else his knowledge of music blows me away. David is a very patient teacher. He would have to be to teach me! So if you have a hankering to learn the mandolin, give him a call! 940.224.4420"
"I have been taking guitar lessons from David for three years and have loved every minute of it. David has a true passion for music and is an excellent artist. As an instructor, David is very patient with my progression as a guitarist. He has never shown displeasure for my lack of practice. I know I need to practice more, and Davids "velvet hammer" approach to his lessons leaves me wanting to practice more. David is a natural teacher with the ability to teach any kind of music you can think of."
"My son Dylan has always wanted to play guitar. He has ADD so he has a hard time staying focused. Since he has been taking lessons with David I have noticed a tremendous change in his ability to stay focused on any particular task. It seems as if David has helped bring out Dylan's natural talent in music. In 4 months he has gone from not knowing a single guitar note to showing off his talent anytime one of his friends comes over. I thank David for his patience and God given ability to teach these kids, and giving them the confidence they need to put their talent into action. Teaching is a gift, and David definitely has it."
"I approached David about lessons with great trepidation. Never having picked up an instrument, and never having learned about music in school, I wasn't sure if this 42 year old Lefty could learn guitar. I've had 12 lessons now and couldn't be happier with what I have accomplished thus far. To David's credit, he inspires me to practice and to keep learning. David is always open to finding music that is just challenging enough to keep my interest, yet not so hard I get frustrated and give up. David's biggest talent as a teacher lies in his listening skills. He asks the questions that allow him to structure his lessons directly to my needs. He is always positive and reassuring, thus creating a learning environment that is comfortable and relaxing. It is a rare find to have such a talented musician also be such a talented teacher."
"David is the best guitarist I've heard in person, ever. He is amazing at finger-picking! In my opinion, he's the best guitar teacher you could ever have. He lets me request what songs I want to learn and teaches me how to play them. I've learned songs by Greenday, the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac. One of my favorite songs to play is a blues song that David wrote. He's also encouraged me to play onstage at Open Mic, something I really didn't want to do at first. But I'm becoming more confident."

"David has advanced my understanding of the guitar more in six months than I have through ten years of self-study. Since starting his lessons, I find myself continually astounded by the sounds coming out of my guitar. Whether you want to improve your technique, study music theory, or just learn how to rock, David can make it happen. Simply put, David will make you an awesome guitarist, and if you are already awesome, he will make you more awesome. You should contact him immediately."

"I never considered myself musically inclined and when I began taking lessons with David I figured I would give up out of frustration with my self proclaimed "inability". Within a month I was playing more music than I ever thought would be possible. David explains the guitar in a very easy way to understand, which is great for someone that has no musical background such as myself. If you have ever wanted to learn to play guitar then I would highly recommend David as an instructor."
"David has really helped to open up my playing style. I've been playing off and on for over 20 years and since taking lessons from David, I've noticed that my playing has really tightened up. David knows his trade well and will help you if you're new to the guitar or even if you're old at it and just stuck in a bit of a rut... he'll help you get out of it and attack that neck with a fresh point of view. He's also very easy to work with and honestly wants to help you enjoy the instrument."
